Protocols For Anambra Elections Failed – Analyst

A public Affairs Analyst, Bola Bakare, has
said that the protocols of the Anambra
electioneering failed, describing it as a
critical case of inadequacy.
According to him, the protocol entails all
the procedures and techniques that were
used during the election.
He explained the protocols as “an
electioneering process that starts from
INEC’s head office in Abuja down to state INEC, to voting and then to the head units and polling
units.
Mr. Bakare insisted that the INEC headquarters was supposed to come up with a concise package
for elections.
‘Near Failure Process’
He described the situation where voters names were omitted from the registers as signs of in-
competencies that brought the election process to a ‘near failure’.
Speaking on Channels Television breakfast programme, Mr. Bakare stated that the chairman of
INEC, Attahiru Jega, tried his best but there were still lapses.
“2015 is around the corner. What are we going to do?” he asked.
“We can do better than we are currently doing,” he stressed.
