Anambra 2014: PPA Candidate, Ezeemo Unveils His Manifesto

The Progressive People’snAlliance (PPA) candidate in the November 16, Anambra State governorship election, Mr. Godwin Chukwunenye Ezeemo has unveiled the blue-print of his administration if voted as successor to the in incumbent Governor Peter Obi. Ezeemo in his manifesto presented to newsmen in Awka, the state capital Wednesday included power generation and distribution, agriculture, education industrialization, health and sports. Ezeemo lamented that his findings revealed that there were only a total of 22 medical doctors under the state government employ and lamented that the figure was grossly inadequate in a state of over four million people and assured to remedy the situation if elected.
Ezeemo stated: “I am coming to give services of love, and, I will be sincere. If I say yes, it will
be, yes. And, if I say no, it will be, no. And I had told members of my family earlier; my wife
and my three children, I have two boys and one girl that I am going to go home one day, that I
am not going to stay here (in London) to be enjoying the good thing another person provided,
that I will go home to our state, Anambra to contribute in transforming the place for better. This
is why I am running in this election.”
The PPA candidate stated that agriculture would receive priority attention under his
administration, saying for instance that he would establish farm settlements in the rich
agricultural areas of the state, build houses and provide the basic modern facilities, including
water, electricity, tarred roads to make the farm settlements attractive to the people, especially
farmers.
He pointed out that more than anything else, the most important thing for the state was power
to drive industrial transformation programme of the state and improve living conditions of the
people which he noted is currently at low ebb as according to him, in addition to reducing the
cost of running the injuries and make thereby make the goods cheaper, constant availability of
power would also help families preserve their food items and that make cost of providing for the
family member cheaper.
The PPA governorship hopeful promised that under his administration, education would be free
from primary to the secondary school level and that greater emphasis would be on technical and
vocational education to ensure that that unemployment rate was reduced.
He further promised to give the health sector a boost, by not only building more health centre,
but by also employing more medical personnel and increasing their remuneration.
He pledged to promote sports and that his administration would revive the school sports so as to
expose sports talents of the younger ones even as he emphasized that his administration would
not operate a bogus security budget, but would fight insecurity through making sure that the
youths were gainfully employed by promoting growth of industries and providing skill and
vocational training to the youths to ensure that they were constantly busy with gainful
employments.
